In these times of economic stress and changing climate, strengthening our local economy and local food supply is critically important. Assuring the availability of safe and healthy foods from local producers is an essential part of that effort. These are just some of our “friends” in this effort.

The Rutland Area Farm and Food Link (RAFFL) started five years ago to expand, enhance and promote renewable agriculture in this area.
The City of Rutland continues to host and assist us in growing the market.
The Rutland Recreation & Parks Department maintains our downtown home, Depot Park.
The Rutland Downtown Partnership contracts with the Rutland Redevelopment Authority to promote, market, develop and enhance downtown for the benefit of all who shop, work, market and live in Rutland City.
The Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) began in Putney, VT in 1971 to promote an economically viable and ecologically sound Vermont food system for the benefit of current and future generations.
The Rutland Natural Foods Co-op has been extremely gracious in sharing their building with our winter market.
The Local Harvest website provides links to find farmers' markets, family farms, and other sources of sustainably grown food in your area, where you can buy produce, grass-fed meats, and many other goodies.
The publishers of Growing for Market provide a very informative monthly newsletter for all Farmers' Market folks.
